Why You Should Care

Empathy is hard, especially when it comes to empathizing with people who disagree with us over important, sensitive issues.

Join us Thursday for an exploration of what it really takes to empathize with those who we most strongly want to disagree with.

For the last month, Eva has traversed the country collecting perspectives from a wide swath of Americans hailing from throughout the south and midwest, capturing their worlds in 360 video.

Through this handcrafted event, expect to push the limits of your own empathy and discover how your perspective shifts when you see the world through the eyes of others.

"

“The plain fact is that the planet does not need more successful people. But it does desperately need more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers, and lovers of every kind. It needs people who live well in their places. It needs people of moral courage willing to join the fight to make the world habitable and humane. And these qualities have little to do with success as we have defined it.”

~ David W. Orr, Environmentalist

“Design is not making beauty, beauty emerges from selection, affinities, integration, love.”
